camera focus point and eyes
I love to focus on the eyes. There’s so much emotion and life in the eyes. If I’m photographing just one person I most often put my focus point on their eyes. I love the eyes. The life is in the eyes. Whether there are smiles, intense stares, tears, wonder, or fear….you can feel it in the eyes. So try placing your focus point on your subject’s eyes. You might be happy with what you see.

I just came across your site when I googled “how to take newborn photos” and am I glad I did…BEST, most informative blog about photography I have come across. Thank you so much. My sister just had a baby and I want to take her newborn photos, but I am a total amateur with an expensive camera haha. I think I will rent the macro lens and try out your tips for taking photos. After spending the last 3 hours exploring your blog, I am super excited and want to grab my camera and just go crazy. Thank you so much. Will be back to visit often. XoXo, Iris
p.s. I couldn’t find anything about the RAW converter you mention needing to view photos. Can you tell me more about it, what it is? how/where I can get it? Much appreciated :-)
