project february: day nine
Day nine: Legoland
Manual camera settings and the why behind them:
ISO – 100 (super bright outside, 10:00am)
aperture – F 5.0 (wanted all three in focus and to be able to see the legoland sign behind them as well
shutter speed – 1/200 (needed for correct exposure, shooting in the shade with sun behind subjects is tricky. it’s easy to blow out the sky, so it’s white and yet have the faces be dark.)
distance from subject (rough estimate) – prob only 5-7 feet away, but down squatting to get them and sign in frame
focal point – middle boy’s face
lens – 50mm 1.2L
camera body – canon’s 5D mark II
Had to post two pics on this day…trust me I have many, many more. :) And these are both posey pictures but the boys were so excited about all this lego stuff and lego characters that they were in a posey mode. Wanted pics with the characters….well at least two out of the three boys did. :)
Manual camera settings and the why behind them:
ISO – 100 (bright out but in shade)
aperture – F 4.5 (wanted all three in focus)
shutter speed – 1/100 (needed a bit more light in the shade)
distance from subject (rough estimate) – prob only 5 feet away
focal point – my nephew’s face
lens – 50mm 1.2L
camera body – canon’s 5D mark II
