Which Camera Equipment do I Use?

Camera equipment and all the possible options are pretty endless and can be overwhelming. Lenses, flashes, hoods, camera bodies, remote triggers, filters, straps, bags, mirrorless, DSLR, film, so. many. choices.

What equipment should you use? What equipment do I use as a professional? What do I use around my house for my own kids?

Camera equipment is an overwhelming topic simply because there are so many choices out there, so many brands, and so many different price points. But it’s also a super fun topic because there are so many wonderful choices out there. Technology has improved so much that you have a ton of options. You can stick with film cameras, you can choose full-frame or cropped frame digital cameras, polaroid cameras, even phones these days can pass for a pretty fabulous camera. I have taken some time recently to update my pages with the accurate camera equipment that I use, as well as the camera equipment that I recommend for hobbyists. (I recently added mirrorless camera systems to my collection and I LOVE it!)

If you are someone who wants to learn about composition and how to create beautiful pictures of your people, but you don’t want to mess with the expensive cameras because you already have a phone. Well, I am here to help you with that as well. If you are shooting all of your pictures on your phone, I have created some mobile presets that will make your life so much better! It’s beautiful editing at the click of one button! And if you’re not sure what Lightroom Mobile Presets even are, well, don’t you worry, I’ll be explaining that in another post soon. :)
