project february: day four

Day four: Nighttime reading

Manual camera settings and the why behind them:
ISO – 6400 (in my boy’s dark bedroom at night, no lights other than his small booklight)
aperture – F 1.2 (opened up my lens super wide, it’s a little tricky to get the focus right and not too much is in focus other than his face, but I got more light without disturbing the moment with a flash.)
shutter speed – 1/125 (as slow as I felt comfortable with handheld, laying on the bed)
distance from subject (rough estimate) – approx 3-4 feet away
focal point – his eye that was closest to me
lens – 50mm 1.2L
camera body – canon’s 5D mark II
