Oh these little cuties…

My manual settings:
ISO – 200 (sunny afternoon but in full shade from a building)
aperture – F 4 (wanting both boys sharply in focus even if their depth of field changes as they wiggle)S
shutter speed – 1/500 second (wanting a proper exposure, not too bright, not too dark)
lens – 50mm 1.2

    Are you doing these shots hand-held? (I’m assuming so….) And, I shoot with a 50mm 1.8 so in order to get same exposure would it be better to change the shutter speed or aperture first? Thank you for a great reference site. Learn a lot here ; )

    yes. hand held. :) i personally set my aperture first and then change shutter speed second based on exposure.
