donuts with my boys

A morning of donuts with my little boys.  Sometimes I like to throw my camera in for the smaller events. These are the real life things that I truly love to document and remember. I had my camera with my 50mm lens attached. That’s all. I didn’t take any additional lenses. I didn’t take a flash. And I didn’t take my white balance target. Instead I just put my camera on auto white balance (AWB). That’s real every day life for me. :)  When I’m documenting my own kids just around the house or on a quick little venture outside the house, I don’t take my white balance target or other goodies. It’s just not realistic.

Here’s my sweet little Kyle on a Friday morning before heading off to Kindergarten. He’s getting so big already.

My manual settings:
ISO – 2000 (inside a donut shop)
shutter speed – 1/160 second
aperture – F 3.2

Drew always gets chocolate with chocolate sprinkles. He loves that and I love that he’s so predictable. If they had offered a chocolate donut with chocolate frosting and chocolate sprinkles, he would have gotten that. :)
