newborn baby and the manual settings

Well we’re getting back into new routines around here. New school days, new work days for both my husband and me, tired kids adjusting to earlier mornings… and establishing new routines. I’ve been photographing lots of sweet babies lately and so I thought I share a newborn shot with you and the manual settings to go with them. I’ll be offering a new online newborn workshop with much more detailed info in the near future.  But for now, enjoy this little beauty. And even more babies here on this blog soon…

My manual settings for this newborn shot below:

ISO – 1250
aperture – F 3.5
shutter speed – 1/160 second
focus point – on her little fingers
lens – canon’s 100mm macro 2.8
camera body – canon’s 5D mark II
